InstaPay is the real-time rail that connects Philippine banks and e-money wallets, and each personal transfer on it tops out at ₱50,000. For casino money it shows up at two moments: when you move funds into the bank or wallet you later pay from, and when a payout lands at a different institution from the one that sent it. The numbers come first below, then a short list of the jobs it suits and the ones it does not.
What InstaPay does with casino money
Per BSP’s InstaPay FAQ, a transfer between two participating institutions, bank or e-money issuer, posts almost immediately, round the clock, 365 days a year. The rulebook belongs to Philippine Payments Management, Inc., an industry body working under BSP oversight, and final settlement happens in PhilPaSS, the BSP’s own system. Credits are final once posted, so a mistyped account number is something to raise with your own bank immediately.
| Item | InstaPay figure |
|---|---|
| Per personal transfer | up to ₱50,000, repeatable in a day |
| Operating hours | 24x7, all year |
| Charge to the receiver | none; full amount arrives |
| GCash or Maya to a bank | ₱10 per transfer |
The ₱50,000 line is the rail’s ceiling, not your bank’s. Banks and wallets can stack their own floor or per-day total on top, which explains most refusals below the cap.
On phones, the MERRYPH lobby’s footer lines up three wallet logos (GCash, Maya, GrabPay); on desktop it shows a bank-transfer mark instead. Nowhere on its logged-out pages is InstaPay named. The methods, the minimum and the timing for any payout sit in the cashier after login, and the cashier’s own minimum figure is the number to trust over any banner.
When InstaPay is the right pick
Sorting the common cases onto the right shelf, with the reason for each:
- A payout under ₱50,000 to another bank or wallet. Choose InstaPay: it runs on weekends and the receiver keeps every peso.
- One payout above ₱50,000. Pass, and read up on PESONet for larger bank transfers, whose rail carries no scheme-wide cap.
- Loading GCash from your bank before a session. It works, though GCash’s help page holds incoming InstaPay cash-ins to ₱10,000 a day during the fortnight after your first one, rising to ₱50,000 afterwards.
- A Maya account still on Basic. Upgrade first: Maya’s limits table shows bank transfers are closed to Basic accounts.
- Paying a gaming balance from inside a wallet app. Off the shelf entirely since the BSP order of August 2025; the GCash casino money explainer walks through what changed.
What to keep after every InstaPay transfer
Three details settle almost every dispute: the transaction reference, the peso figure to the centavo, and the clock time printed on the confirmation. A cashier that says a deposit never arrived, or a payout marked done that your bank does not show, both start from that trio. The pending withdrawal checklist then tells you which support department handles which case.
Treat the InstaPay record as yours to keep, not the casino’s. Banks show it in the transaction history, which is a better proof than a screenshot of the lobby. If a credit is posted to the wrong account, the BSP FAQ points you to the sending bank or wallet, so ring them first and the casino second.
For every rail the lobby displays, side by side, go back to the deposit and withdrawal hub.
How to Get Started
-
Open your sending app's InstaPay terms
Look up the fee and any daily total your bank or wallet adds on top of the ₱50,000 rail ceiling. GCash and Maya each print ₱10 per transfer to a bank.
-
Fit the amount under the ceiling
Anything above ₱50,000 in one go belongs on PESONet or needs splitting. Decide which before you start, not halfway through.
-
Screenshot the reference number
Save the confirmation's reference code, figure and timestamp. Support asks for exactly these three when money goes missing.
